With the effects of a changing climtae a seemingly ever present reality this black bear den, that is normally obscured by snow, was very visable in February. It was so warm that the female and her cubs wold often move toward the entrance of the den to cool off, only their furry backs visable. At one point the mom and one of the cubs turned for a few moments and look outside for awhile.
